Women say menopause significantly impacts their daily life — yet most never receive dedicated support.

"Menopause isn't a malfunction. It's a threshold — and you deserve someone in your corner as you cross it."

At Embody, we bring together the wisdom of certified menopause coaching and the expertise of an Licensed Clinical Social Worker to offer something most practices don't: a whole-person approach that honors what you're going through in your body and your mind.

Is this for you?

You're in the right place if you're

Menopause looks different for every woman. Whether you're just starting to notice changes or you've been managing symptoms for years, coaching meets you exactly where you are.

  • In perimenopause and feeling confused, exhausted, or emotionally unlike yourself
  • Struggling with sleep disruption, brain fog, hot flashes, or weight changes
  • Navigating mood shifts, loss of libido, anxiety, or loss of motivation that feel tied to hormonal changes
  • Postmenopausal and wanting to rebuild energy, strength, and confidence
  • Tired of being told "this is just part of aging" and looking for real, actionable support
  • Craving a space where your experience is taken seriously — and celebrated

Menopause coaching vs. therapy: what's the difference?

Menopause coaching is goal-oriented, forward-looking support focused on practical strategies — nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and lifestyle changes that work with your body's shifting hormones.

Jodie's unique background as both a Certified Menopause Coach and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) means she can hold space for the emotional complexity of this season while also equipping you with tools that create tangible, lasting change.

Both services are available at Embody. Your intake conversation will help you determine the right fit — or a combination of both.

What we work on together

Six pillars of menopause wellness

01
Hormonal Literacy

Understand what's happening in your body — and why. Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to your hormones.

02
Symptom Management

Practical, personalized strategies for hot flashes, sleep disruption, brain fog, joint discomfort, and more.

03
Movement & Pilates Integration

Pilates is uniquely suited to midlife bodies. Together we'll build a movement practice, that includes strength training, and protects bone density, supports pelvic health, helps regulate your nervous system, and energizes you.

04
Emotional Wellbeing

Mood shifts, grief, identity changes — your emotional experience of this transition matters. From past trauma, postpartum depression, PMS, your own mother's experience, we make space for all of it.

05
Nutrition & Lifestyle

Evidence-based guidance on eating, sleep hygiene, stress reduction, and daily habits that support hormonal balance.

06
Long-Term Vitality

Bone health, cardiovascular wellness, cognitive longevity — we plan for the decades ahead, not just the symptoms in front of you. Start early to get ahead of things.

Why Embody

The Embody difference

Therapy + coaching under one roof

Very few practitioners hold both a menopause coaching certification and an LCSW license. At Embody, you have access to both — and a seamless path between them.

Movement is woven in

Pilates isn't an add-on here — it's integral to your care. We understand how movement changes (and helps) in perimenopause, and we build it into your coaching plan.

Truly personalized

No scripts, no generic handouts. Your coaching plan is built around your symptoms, your goals, your life. Small-studio intimacy at every step.

A community that gets it

You're not alone in this. Embody's community of women supporting each other through midlife is one of our most powerful offerings — informal, warm, and real.

Common questions

What you might be wondering

Do I need a doctor's referral to start coaching?

No referral needed. You can reach out directly to schedule an initial consultation and we'll talk through whether coaching, counseling, or a combination is the right fit for you.

How is menopause coaching different from seeing my OB/GYN?

Your doctor manages medical treatment. Coaching fills a different gap: the lifestyle, emotional, and behavioral support that helps you actually live well through this transition — week by week.

Can I do coaching and Pilates sessions together?

Absolutely — and many clients find that combining movement and coaching creates the most powerful results. We'll help you build an integrated plan that fits your schedule and goals.

I'm not sure if I'm in perimenopause. Can coaching still help?

Yes. Many women come to us unsure of where they are in the transition. Part of what we do in early sessions is help you understand what you're experiencing and build a clear picture of your path forward.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. In-person sessions are available at our North Baltimore studio, and virtual coaching sessions are also offered for those who prefer flexibility.

What does a typical coaching engagement look like?

Most clients start with a discovery consultation, followed by regular one-on-one sessions (weekly or biweekly). The pace and focus evolve as your needs and goals shift.

Ready to feel like yourself again?

The first step is a conversation. Book a consultation and let's talk about where you are, what you're experiencing, and how we can support you — in your body, your mind, and your life.
